Designers from various disciplines such as product design, service design, and user experience design have been involved in improving the healthcare system over the past decades. The current wave of digitalization and the persisting need for a more inclusive and sustainable healthcare system suggest an even more prevalent presence of design in healthcare. In addition, the recent pandemic revealed how the poor design of products, information and built environment negatively affected human beings including patients and healthcare professionals.

In the event Design for Health, we will gather to see examples of how design can contribute to health, and to initiate a network by which we can start meaningful collaboration in this area. The event is open to everyone interested in relationship between design and health, including experts from industry, academia, and the public sector. It is jointly held by Division Design & Human Factors at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science and Chalmers Health Engineering Area of Advance.
