At Chalmers, as a student, you are expected to take full responsibility for your studies from the first semester of your new degree programme. To claim your place on the programme, you must remain an active student and be familiar with the applicable terms and conditions. If you do not comply with these terms and conditions, your place on the programme may be revoked.
Terms and conditions
1. You must register for the courses of the degree programme to which you have been admitted.
You must register during the time-period and in the manner specified by the university.
- Enrollment in two programmes at the same education level during the same semester is not allowed.
2. If you do not have a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer) and/or if you are required to pay tuition fees, then you must show a valid identity document at a mandatory attendance check.

3. Throughout your period of study, you must respond to communications and notices from the University and read the information it provides.
You should read your email and keep up to date with information published by the University, for example by the Programme Director, Student Guidance Counsellor and Chalmers Student Administration. You must be reachable throughout your entire period of study, and you are responsible for ensuring that your current email address is registered in Ladok.
4. You must actively pursue full-time studies throughout the first semester, on the degree programme to which you have been admitted.

Full-time studies mean that you are registered on courses of 30 credits per semester.
- If you are unable to pursue full-time studies, you should contact your programme's Student Guidance Counsellor as soon as possible. Do not wait.
- A leave of absence from your studies can be granted at the earliest after the first semester of your degree programme, provided you meet the terms and conditions for claiming your study place.
5. You must complete at least 15 credits with at least a passing grade, during the first semester of the degree programme to which you have been admitted.

- If you are admitted for the autumn semester, the January examination period is included.
- If you are admitted for the spring semester, the August re-examination period is included.
6. You must register for the courses in the third study period of the degree programme to which you have been admitted
You must register during the time-period and in the manner specified by the university.

You may possible be granted an exceptions from number 4 and 5 in terms and conditions, 4 and 5 after dialogue and agreement with your programme's Student Guidance Counsellor
