Combine exchange studies, internship and leadership development

Unitech International

UNITECH International gives you the opportunity to combine international studies, an internship at a global company and leadership development within one programme.

As a participant, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Study abroad at one of the network’s nine European partner universities.

  • Complete an internship at an international company.

  • Develop your leadership skills through personal coaching, workshops and networking activities.

The programme is aimed at third-year Master of Science in Engineering (civilingenjör) students at Chalmers. Participation takes place during your fourth year and gives you the opportunity to build an international network and gain experience of working in a global environment.

UNITECH collaborates with both universities and companies to create an international experience where the internship is connected to your studies. The internship lasts at least 12 weeks and can be carried out in many different countries.

To complete the programme, you must have obtained at least 30 credits within the exchange component.

Find a traineeship placement

You are responsible for finding your own traineeship placement, so it is important to start planning well in advance.

You can complete your traineeship at, for example, a company, organisation, educational institution or research centre. Ideally, you should have a confirmed traineeship placement before submitting your application. If all details are not finalised by the application deadline, you can still submit your application and provide the remaining information later.

Please note that the Erasmus+ traineeship grant cannot be awarded retroactively. You must apply before your traineeship period begins.

How to apply

Where you can complete your traineeship

Your traineeship must be carried out in an eligible Erasmus+ country, and you must reside in the country throughout the entire traineeship period. It is not permitted to commute to your traineeship from Sweden or complete your traineeship in Sweden.

Grant and payment

The Erasmus+ traineeship grant is a financial contribution intended to help cover costs during your traineeship period. The grant is not intended to cover all expenses related to your stay abroad.
