An international collaboration in the area digitalization and AI for energy efficiency and GHG mitigation in industry has recently started in the IETS TCP.</p><span style="font-family:arial, &quot;helvetica neue&quot;, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16px;background-color:initial">Digitalization and AI is one of the important areas for achieving deep decarbonization in industry. Due to the breadth of this area, a work has started within the IETS TCP to identify the part of it, which is most relevant for energy efficiency and GHG mitigation. In that work also specific tasks of highest importance to start a further international collaboration in have been identified. These are:</span><ul style="font-family:helvetica;font-size:16px"><li><span style="font-family:arial, &quot;helvetica neue&quot;, helvetica, sans-serif"><span><strong>Methods and Applications of Digital Twins</strong></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, &quot;helvetica neue&quot;, helvetica, sans-serif"><span><strong>Lessons Learned and Created Values by Digitalization</strong></span></span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, &quot;helvetica neue&quot;, helvetica, sans-serif"><span><strong>Digitalization Implementation Roadmaps</strong></span></span></li></ul> <p style="margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;padding:0px;font-family:helvetica;font-size:16px;line-height:24px"><span style="font-family:arial, &quot;helvetica neue&quot;, helvetica, sans-serif"><span>In this collaboration, groups from a big number of countries will participate and it will be led by National Resources and Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal in Canada.
