Förarbeteendemodellering och analys

Om kursen

The aim of the course is to provide an in-depth understanding of existing theories, methods and tools for analysing and modelling driver behaviour and how these can be applied to real world problems such as the evaluation of driving support systems. The course addresses the general scientific paradigms underlying driver behaviour research, conceptual and mathematical driver behaviour theories and models in the literature as well as methods and tools for driver behaviour analysis. Through exercises, students will be confronted with a variety of problems typically encountered when analysing and modelling driver behaviour and learn how they can be addressed. Most importantly, after finishing the course, the students should be able to critically judge existing driver behaviour research and independently select and apply relevant methods and tools to their own research problems.

The course is divided into two main parts. The first part addresses theoretical and methodological issues while the second focuses on practical applications.
