Radiative transfer

Om kursen

The course covers basic concepts of radiative transfer theory, as well as applications to atmospheric science and astronomy.

Module 1, 190909-191216 (5 points): Principles of radiative transfer and electromagnetic scattering
Module 2, 200113-200204 (3 points): specialized topics in atmospheric radiative transfer and astronomy, seminar talks given by students

After completion of the course the student should be able to:
  • Formulate and solve radiative transfer problems
  • Model input parameters for radiative transfer problems
