Winter Wonderland

“There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to its very hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance.”
The above written quote by Scottish writer William Sharp describes the beauty of snow in its full glory.

The Gothenburg city has turned into a winter wonderland. The best thing about snow is that, suddenly everything looks brighter and clearer. I personally love it when things around are covered in a thick blanket of snow, the sight seems surreal. Though I have experienced snow back at my home town in the Northern most part of India, the excitement was same nonetheless. Yes, of course I don’t go around playing in snow or making the snow-man but there always is a smile on my face when I look out of my window.

It usually snows in the months of January and February here but, this time we are having unexpected snowfall in March. So, I decided to capture some ecstatic sights and share with you all.

Being an Indian I do tend to miss the brightness and warmth of the Sun at times but then, winters have their own charm. My friends back home ask me how do I manage in the cold weather here, and the answer is simple. There is nothing like bad weather it's all about wrong clothing. Gothenburg has pretty mild winters, compared to the north of Sweden but snow is not unusual. Sometimes we get to see plenty of snow which turns this beautiful city into the magical Winter wonderland
