Hej! My name is Qian Sun, a Master student in Electric Power Engineering. I am 24 years old and I am from Xi’an, which is a historic city in China. I was a student in Xi’an University of Science and Technology. In my second year (2013), I decided to go to California State University, Fresno as an exchange student and it was really an interesting and challenging decision.
I enjoy listening to music, especially the smoothing ones, such as folks. When I am free, I like singing and I will post demos to social media. I am also fond of watching NBA basketball games and I have been a loyal fan of Ricky Rubio and Rajon Rondo because they are willing to share the ball, though both of them are not good shooters.
Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in the world with a rich history and culture. During its 3,100 years development, 13 dynasties placed capitals there. The Museum of Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses is praised as ‘the 8th miracle of the world’. Furthermore, Xi’an is known as ‘the capital of table delicacies’ and among all the delicacies, the most famous and popular one is the Muslim Snack Street.
So Excited to be a Chalmerist
The main reason that I came here is that I would like to be more international and I really enjoy experiencing various cultures. Chalmers is a fantastic place to study, and in between you may find that there would be even more activities – ‘work hard and play hard’! I am so excited that I can be one of the Chalmerists. Also, it is my pleasure to be the student ambassador. I am happy to share everything that I know with you! If you have questions, feel free to email me!
