Something that I always carry with me is the thirst for answers, either obtaining them or providing them. I recently joined the Chalmers International Reception Committee (CIRC) motivated by this. New students usually have lots of questions! I also take pleasure in gaining new skills, even the most simple or peculiar. Therefore, I often embark on mini challenges or thematic days, which you may end up reading about in my blog posts.
It was all fate!
The programme I’m currently studying is the Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering Master's degree. I consider the way I came across Chalmers an event of fate. I had been looking for a master program that fit my educational expectations, but hadn’t found it in other countries. Considering my long-time fascination with Swedish culture and society, it became clear that I should also be looking in Swedish universities. Not much time passed until I found the MPIEE, and from that point on I was convinced that this was what I wanted. During my investigation I became more familiarized with Chalmers, its focus in sustainability, passion for research and innovation, and excellent relations to industry; all factors that cemented my decision.
I am positively surprised everyday!
Now finally being here, I’m positively surprised every day. Chalmers, with its staff and student organizations, really goes a long way into guaranteeing a good experience and educational outcome for students. Gothenburg is a safe, beautiful city, with kind people and a wide array of things to do. In my blog posts you can also expect documented experiences about life in Gothenburg and Chalmers, and my personal insight into this journey.
