The owner foundation adopts governing documents that apply to the entire group, while the university adopts governing documents that regulate only its own operations. A policy defines the fundamental principles guiding Chalmers´ actions. It is intended to provide guidance on the actions to be pursued within specific area and the values to be take into consideration. A policy is adopted by the board of the owner foundation, the university board, or the university president.
