<p>CirkAlg har uppmärksammats i media och gjort betydande insatser för samhället. Dessa inkluderar författande av inflytelserika rapporter och riktlinjer, deltagande i vetenskapsfestivaler, konferenser, workshops och möten samt riktade utåtriktade aktiviteter för skolor, industri, myndigheter och beslutsfattare. Andra utmärkelser inkluderar priser för bästa poster respektive bästa studentpresentation som tilldelades Kristoffer Stedt och João Trigo vid International Seaweed Symposium in Tasmania, Australia 2023.&nbsp;</li>
<li>BBC publicerade en artikel där Ingrid Undeland och João Trigo bidrog med kunskap och insikter från CirkAlg <a href="https://bbc.com/future/article/20240103-seaweed-should-we-be-eating-more-of-it" title="https://bbc.com/future/article/20240103-seaweed-should-we-be-eating-more-of-it">https://bbc.com/future/article/20240103-seaweed-should-we-be-eating-more-of-it</a>. Ingrid och João uppmärksammades även i <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/apr/19/sea-farmed-supercrop-how-seaweed-could-transform-the-way-we-live" title="The Guardian">The Guardian</a> där de förklarade varför det är en utmaning att utvinna protein från sjögräs och möjliga livsmedelsapplikationer för detta nya protein.&nbsp;</li>
<li>SVT uppmärksammade pressmeddelandet från CirkAlg-publiceringen i ett nyhetsinslag i Rapport, om möjligheten att använda processvatten från livsmedelsindustrin som odlingsmedia för att öka tillväxten och proteinhalten hos sjögräs (<a href="https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/vast/alger-far-hogre-proteinhalt-nar-de-vaxer-i-livsmedelsindustrins-spillvatten" title="https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/vast/alger-far-hogre-proteinhalt-nar-de-vaxer-i-livsmedelsindustrins-spillvatten">https://www.svt.se/nyheter/lokalt/vast/alger-far-hogre-proteinhalt-nar-de-vaxer-i-livsmedelsindustrins-spillvatten</a>). Detta arbete har även uppmärksammats i ScienceDaily, Springwise och Food Supply.</li>
<li>Resultat från CirkAlg har publicerades i facktidskrifter, bland annat i Livsmedel i fokus med artikeln 'Tång kan bli framtidens vegetabiliska proteinkälla' [nr 1/2024] och i Forskning och Framsteg med artikeln 'Havets grönsaker – framtidens mat' [nr 8/2022].</li>
<li>Internationella och lokala tidningar har skrivit om CirkAlg och relaterad forskning, till exempel i radioprogrammet 'Living Planet: Seaweed coming to your plate' i den internationella miljösektionen hos Deutsche Welle, där forskare från Chalmers och Göteborg diskuterade sjögräsodling och sjögräs som framtida livsmedelskälla, samt en tidningsartikel i <a href="https://www.gp.se/livsstil/mat/maten-i-framtiden-kan-bli-modifierad-vegetarisk-och-annu-mer-hallbar.2293df25-b37a-48a3-9c5b-2a635b509564" title="GP länk">Göteborgs-Posten</a> där Ingrid Undeland berättade om alger som en hållbar livsmedelskälla.</li>
<li>Kristoffer Stedt, GU, och João Trigo, Chalmers, har gjort en video där de förklarar vilka utmaningar som behöver övervinnas för att omvandla sjögräs till nästa livsmedelsprotein.</li>

<li>CirkAlg organiserade en slutworkshop i oktober 2023 där resultat presenterades och där projektmedlemmar, forskare, studenter samt aktörer från industri och myndigheter deltog. Workshopen inkluderade föreläsningar, gemensamma diskussioner och provsmakningar av nya sjögräsprodukter.</li>
