At the division of Water Environment Technology we carry out interdisciplinary research and education in the areas of water, environment, energy and sustainability.

Research

Water Environment Technology, WET, brings together scientists with expertise in urban water and hydraulics, process engineering, environment and sustainability, to understand and solve engineering science problems together with the stakeholders for water and energy infrastructures.

We are committed to contribute to the challenge of sustainable development. As a consequence, collaboration across disciplines and geographical regions is the basis for our research and educational activities. Much of our research is applied and linked to industry but we also do more fundamental research.
  • Hazards and risks for drinking water resources and treatment
  • Process techniques for wastewater treatment
  • Urban Environments and Systems
  • Urban Water and Contaminated Materials
  • Urban metabolism

Education

Research and education are closely linked which contribute to up-to-date education of high quality. Education is carried out both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The division is in collaboration with the the Division of Geology and Geotechnics responsible for the Master’s programme Infrastructure and environmental engineering.
