The parade starts at Gustav Adolfs torg at 12.

On 15 June, the West Pride Parade will once again wind through Gothenburg. March together under the Chalmers banner.

West Pride begins in Gothenburg on 10 June. Chalmers is a sponsor for the tenth consecutive year and will participate in the week's highlight, the Pride Parade, which will pass through the city centre on 15 June.

"For us, it is an obvious choice. We work hard to ensure that everyone feels welcome at the university. To achieve Chalmers' vision of Chalmers – a globally outstanding university of technology, for a better world,' we need to have open doors and not judge potential employees or students on anything other than their competence and potential," says Maria Elmquist, Deputy President for Leadership and Equality.

Free brunch before the parade

New this year is that the university, together with the Student Union, will treat registered participants, both students and staff, to brunch at Wijkanders before the parade. Participants will also receive a specially designed Chalmers t-shirt.

"The brunch will be an opportunity to meet before the parade, to prepare together and to create a sense of community," says Maria Elmquist.

The brunch is now fully booked, but one can of course join the parade anyway.

Afterwards, everyone will head together to Gustaf Adolf's Square to gather under the Chalmers rainbow flag in time for the parade's start at 12 o'clock. Those who cannot or do not want to join the brunch beforehand can join on site.

Members of Chalmers' management will also be marching in the parade.

"If possible, it is a natural choice to participate to underline that we stand for equality for all and that we take LGBTQI issues seriously," says Maria Elmquist.
