Are you curious about quantum computing and ready to take on a challenge?
Join us for an exciting Quantum Hackathon hosted by WACQT (Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology) and IBM - a unique opportunity for students to explore the power of quantum technologies, collaborate in teams, and solve real-world problems using IBM’s quantum tools.
You apply to participate - we will confirm your participation by December 22, 2025.
Date: January 24-25, 2026
Location: Chalmers, Sven Hultins gata 8, 412 58 Göteborg
Who can join: Students wth skills in:
- Programming skills (python)
- Quantum computing basics (knowing gates )
- Some basic algorithmic understanding
To participate in the Hackathon, it is important that you also attend the Hackathon Preparation lecture (Jan 19 at 6pm).
The preparation lecture will take 1.5 hours and will give you an overview over Quantum Computing with Qiskit.
If you do not take part in the preparation event, you will not be allowed to join the main Hackathon.
We require participation since the Hackathon has a very limited timeframe, and the preparation session is essential for setting up Qiskit and getting prepared in advance. We will further provide links with additional material for further preparation.
Please note that we cannot provide financial support for travel, accommodation, or visa costs for participants.
Prizes
The winning team will be rewarded with prizes and will also have the opportunity to present their project and how they solved the task at one of the Quantum Ambassador Nordic meetings.
Code of Conduct
This event is committed to ensuring the highest level of enjoyment, accessibility, and inclusivity by fostering an environment of respect, empathy, and compassion for all participants.
