Together with Gothenburg University, Chalmers has developed an IT tool to map research against the UN:s global sustainable development goals. The tool is called the SDG impact assessment tool and is open to use by everyone.
One way to use the tool may be to supplement applications with information on how the intended research project links to the global sustainable development goals, and the sub-goals. This is also information that research funders are increasingly demanding in their calls.
In this lunch seminar with Maria Djupström, Chalmers' Sustainability Strategist, we will go through tool content as well as practical use. We show examples of how to map, and what the results could look like.
Together we discuss how to use the tool in order to supplement applications, how results can be used for internal development and increased collaboration, and how the information about our research’s links to the SDG:s could be collected for a more complete report on sustainability activities and input to ranking systems.
