The ILMAT is a conference hosted every second year by a European country. The latest two editions were held in Rome (Italy, 2025) and in Porto (Portugal, 2023). The year 2027, the 9th edition of the International Conference on Ionic Liquid-Based Materials, will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, hosted by the Chalmers University of Technology. The days have been set to be between the 21st and the 24th of June 2027.
The contributions are planned to focus on ionic liquids and ionic liquid-based materials, molten salts, low melting temperature mixtures and deep eutectic solvents. This class of materials plays a crucial role in society, addressing challenges closely connected to environmental sustainability, energy solutions, and resource efficiency. The unique properties of ionic liquids and their diverse fields of applications make them valuable tools for advancing technology, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable progress.
