SmallTalks: The origin behind ferromagnetic metal-insulator transition

Welcome to a seminar in the series SmallTalks [about Nanoscience] arranged by the Excellence Initiative Nano
Speaker: Ola Kenji Forslund, Postdoc at Materials Physics/Physics

Abstract:
Just like how water can attain different states depending on temperatures, i.e. liquid, solid gas or plasma, quantum materials attain unique quantum states. Understanding how a state in a material is formed is the foundation behind the material development experienced since the Bronze Age. One class of quantum materials is low dimensional systems, which are sets of magnetic materials confined into one and/or two dimensions.
The seminar will be held both live and on Zoom
