Dynamical systems are used as models for weather, planetary systems, populations, and other things that change with time. Many systems are best described with differential equations, and others with discrete time units. After learning about the basic theory of ordinary differential equations, you will get an introduction to the more advanced theory of dynamical systems and concepts such as diffeomorphisms and invariant manifolds. You will apply the theory with computer simulations.
