AI and Global Development Lab

The vision of The AI and Global Development Lab is to combine AI and earth observation to analyse the causes and consequences of human development historically, geographically, and globally thereby enhancing research on sustainability.

The Lab brings together computer scientists – specializing in data science and AI – and social scientists – primarily sociologists, economists, and political scientists. As such, it develops innovative methods to address key challenges in development research and works on substantive issues in human development, such as poverty, sustainability, and aid interventions.

The group is led by Adel Daoud. More information about the research group can be found on the external web page for the AI and Global Development Lab.
