Who can apply?
Faculty members and assistant professors.
PhD students and post-docs cannot apply for funding from the AoA.
What can I apply for?
Typically, AoA funded activities should benefit a number of research group leaders/research groups within the AoA. For example, a proposal for a workshop aiming at bringing researchers together to discuss common interests and possible joint projects is a highly valued activity. If the outcome is a suggestion for a collaborative research project, the AoA management is happy to discuss if there is an overlap with our strategies and thus a potential for funding. In addition, if it fulfills the overarching requirements listed above, we can support conference organization, sabbaticals, incoming guest professors and outreach activities. What should my application contain?
A description of the activities, a budget and a description of how the proposed activities strengthens materials science at Chalmers. Typically, activities should benefit a number of research group leaders, so please make sure to describe this in your application. Use this template
