3 ways to make composite materials more sustainable

​​Cycling and recycling​. Welcome to a seminar with Professor Larry Lessard on August 16, at 4 pm. Lessard  is cycling around the world, promoting ways to rethink and to reuse composite materials. On July 1th he started a tour in Paris on his bike that will take him around the world.

Larry LessardLessard will ride for a year or more, rolling into Montreal next summer. As an expert in recycling and reusing advanced materials, Lessard will be bringing his research – and his environmental message – to universities and companies around the world.
​By trip’s end, Lessard will have covered over 20,000 kilometres and traversed 28 countries through three continents.
Professor Larry Lessard, from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, works in the research area of recycling of composite materials.  He will present work on recent projects on the topic of recycling and sustainability.  Furthermore, Professor Lessard is undergoing a round-the-world bike trip to help promote these ideas and to film a documentary film on the subject.  20,000 km of biking in 400 days, which began in Paris on July 1, 2022.
