Sahlgrenska Life and the Skills centre in brief

Sahlgrenska Life is a collaborative project that aims to establish a leading environment for research, education, care and innovation. Within Sahlgrenska Life, a joint skills centre is planned for the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, the Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the Region Västra Götaland.

The skills centre will provide new conditions for basic training of students in health care professions as well as further training and skills enhancement of staff.

Within the framework of Sahlgrenska Life, a central objective is to increase collaboration across borders between healthcare, universities and business. Educational activities are an area where there are clear cooperative advantages between these three actors. Here there is an obvious arena for meetings and exchange of experiences between these stakeholders.
