Ethical approval in health engineering research – workshop

Are you planning research that involves humans, human tissue or sensitive personal data? Or do you want to learn more about when and how to apply for ethical approval for research related to health engineering?

Then come and join us for a workshop!

Program

  • Björn Rydevik, Chairman of the Council for Research Ethics at Sahlgrenska Academy and senior professor in orthopedic surgery, will inform about laws and regulations related to ethical approval for health-related research.

  • Christina Bergh, senior professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and chief physician in reproductive medicine, will share many years of experience in reviewing ethics applications and clinical studies as a former head of the HTA centrer (Health Technology Assessment) in the Västra Götaland region.

  • Gothia Forum will present in what ways they can assist in the application procedure and in planning your studies or trials.

Questions and networking opportunity

We plan for an interactive event, so there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions to all speakers, raise subjects for discussion and to network with researchers from other organisations.

Please note that the workshop is ended by a networking “fika” for those who want to stay.
