The development in the automotive industry is very fast with a dramatic change of the entire industry. Research funders, industry and academia must keep up with developments. The new development trends in e.g. electromobility and automation require rapid industrial development, while research and education must take their time to mature and create sustainable conditions for future development.

Discussion
During the workshop we will discuss the current research situation and how we should plan a long-term successful collaboration between Chalmers and our industrial partners.
A few of the questions we will be discussing at the workshop:
- How do we ensure vehicle-related postgraduate doctoral education?
- What do we need to do to have effective research at Chalmers in 10-15 years?
- How do we plan projects so as not to go too fast and not miss new big steps in research that could give us competitive advantages?
Open to
Researchers from Chalmers and our industry partners are invited to this event.
