– Professor Gabriel has authored Complementarity Modeling in Energy Markets, the main textbook on mixed-complementarity modeling in energy systems, but he also seeks practical applications across scientific and professional disciplines to address society’s greatest challenges. This fits well with Chalmers’ own ethos and makes him an ideal Jubilee Professor, said David Daniels, senior researcher at the host division of Physical Resource Theory at Chalmers (now at VTI).
– Professor Gabriel’s area of expertise lies in methods rather than in any single application, his extended visit at Chalmers have benefited multiple groups at Chalmers. We are super happy that his stay at Chalmers has resulted in many fruitful discussions and progress in developing advanced methods for our work at Chalmers, says Sonia Yeh, co-director at Energy Area of Advance.
