Giga factories - a driving force for new green industrialization.

Listen to Lars Carlstrom, founder of Italvolt & Statevolt previously also Britishvolt, talk about how the new industry, managed correctly, can strengthen our economy, and change our view of industry forever, but also become a geopolitical risk if we don't make it in time.

Gigafactory and Lars Carlstrom

Lars Carlstrom is an entrepreneur since 35 years and active in several different areas of interest. In 1999, Lars started V2H (video to home), which was one of the world's first streaming services. In 2009, he got involved in SAAB in the attempts to save Saab. Since then, Lars has established three initiatives for battery production in Europe and the USA: Britishvolt, which Lars left in January 2021 to start Italvolt in Milan and Statevolt in California.

Our four research groups will also present their latest results from their research:

• Geometry Assurance & Robust Design
• Systems Engineering Design
• Automation
• Geometry & Motion Planning
