Abstrakt finns enbart på engelska: At TU Delft we did a study in a Statistics course for engineers where students use an online exercise platform for practice. As we all know students engage very actively towards the exam, but less in the weeks before. Can targeted prompts help students engage more and earlier on? And what can be said about the effects of these interventions on their grades? Results showed that planning prompts could enhance student effort in completing the tasks. Personalized feedback combined with planning prompts could promote consistent engagement among students with strong value beliefs, suggesting the need for better integration of motivational support.
