Using Chalmers new cloud-based service, you will be able to run nearly all Chalmers software on your own computer.
Starting in study period 1, autumn 2025, Chalmers will launch the Chalmers Apps service. Via this service, you as a student will be able to run Chalmers software directly on your own computer.
Using Chalmers Apps is easy. Whenever you need a piece of software, you install it directly from the cloud and run it on a computer of choice, e.g. your own. Should you need the software again at a later time, you just reinstall it.
As a student, you will automatically receive access to Chalmers Apps starting in study period 1, autumn semester 2025.
Initially, a smaller selection of software will be available. Gradually, during autumn 2025, the selection will grow. Eventually, the service will be able to offer nearly all software currently available for educational use.
What to do before your first course begins
Before your first autumn semester 2025 course begins, it is recommended that you install the AppsAnywhere app, which makes it possible to access the Chalmers Apps software portal.
