Using Chalmers' new cloud-based service, you will be able to run nearly all Chalmers software on your own computer – as well as on computers in any StuDAT computer lab.
Starting in study period 1, autumn 2025, Chalmers will launch the Chalmers Apps service. Via this service, you as a student will be able to run all Chalmers software directly on your own computer. Chalmers Apps also makes the same software available in all StuDAT computer labs.
Using Chalmers Apps is easy. Whenever you need a piece of software, you install it directly from the cloud and run it on a computer of choice, e.g. your own.
As a student, you will automatically receive access to Chalmers Apps starting August 19, 2025.
Initially, a smaller selection of software will be available. Gradually, during autumn 2025, the selection will grow. Eventually, the service will be able to offer nearly all software currently available for educational use.
What to do before your first course begins
Before your first autumn semester 2025 course begins, it is recommended that you install the AppsAnywhere app on your private computer. This app makes it possible to access the Chalmers Apps software portal.
