The Henry Wallman Prize 2024 is awarded to Frida Smith, PhD in Nursing and Research Director at Regional Cancer Center West (RCC West) and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Chalmers TME, active within Collaborative platform for Healthcare Improvement (CHI). As a researcher and innovator, Frida Smith has succeeded in translating academic insights into real improvements in healthcare.

As a researcher and innovator, Frida Smith has succeeded in translating academic insights into real improvements in healthcare.
With her experience as an oncology specialist nurse and leader in cancer research at Regional Cancer Center West, as well as an associate professor at Chalmers, she is an excellent example of how collaboration across disciplines can lead to innovations.
With expertise in healthcare sciences, digital innovation and quality-driven business development, she has made great achievements in the field of radiation therapy for cancer patients. Here, she has not only improved cancer care, but also improved the patients' experience of it.
Frida Smith's efforts show that when technology and healthcare work together, it can result in valuable innovations. Her desire to improve healthcare, her entrepreneurial spirit and good ability to collaborate make her an inspiration and an innovator worth paying attention to.
The award will be presented in conjunction with Vitalis, the Nordic region's leading conference and exhibition in eHealth, on Tuesday 14 May at 13.00 – 13.50. The place is on stage in the Innovation Area. In addition to the presentation of the prize, lectures linked to the prize winner and the prize will be included in the award ceremony.
