Engine Operations Simulator

The marine engineer students spend many hours in the engine operations studio, in order to train the handling of engine room systems. The simulator is also used in other areas of education, such as language, control engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and more.

All students’ skills are tested at the end of the training according to the STCW Convention (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) and the Maritime Administration requirements. It is quite in order to fail in the simulator but not onboard a ship – therefore, great importance is on simulator exercises.
