Chalmers is now investing even more in entrepreneurship. All students, regardless of programme, who have a keen interest in creating prototypes and products can now receive free coaching from Chalmers alumni Joar Bergström. Starting this autumn, he will be on hand to help students take the next step.
Why does Chalmers start coaching in entrepreneurship?
”When I was studying at Chalmers, I found it difficult to know where to turn with questions and ideas. There was simply no one to help bounce ideas off on the student side. The purpose of the coaching is also to spark interest in entrepreneurship as a career option, regardless of which programme you are studying.”
How does it work?
”You book an appointment via Chalmers website. We meet and you tell me about your idea. I help you figure out how to proceed, what is needed now and in the next step. Together, we create a roadmap. An appointment lasts about an hour and is non-binding and informal.”
Joar guides you to the right place
Joar becomes your gateway, guiding you to the right place. He can help you get in touch with investors, experts, strategic partners or draw up a business plan. After the coaching session, he will give you some homework, and after a while you are welcome to come back to take the next step in the process towards your goal.
When does the coaching start?
”I will start the coaching in October and run it for a year on a trial basis, then evaluate the interest. I will also have two drop-in sessions, 7-8 October, for students who just want to come by for a chat and ask questions about entrepreneurship.”
A place to meet, share ideas and get inspired
In addition to individual coaching, there will be events and informal meetups for students who want to explore entrepreneurship in a relaxed and open environment.
These gatherings aim to:
- Help students meet, build new connections and learn from each other
- Provide knowledge, skills and useful tools
- Inspire and create contacts outside of Chalmers
- Encourage creative thinking
Are you really into creating and inventing new products? Do you want to start your own business, or are you perhaps just curious about what entrepreneurship is all about? Take the opportunity to book a coaching session or participate in an event this autumn. Who knows where it might lead?
