Do you have an idea that can make a difference? This year, Chalmers' students and researchers have a unique opportunity to pitch ideas that could change the world. As the only Swedish university, Chalmers is hosting Falling Walls Lab, where the winner advances to the international final in Berlin in November.

This year, Chalmers is hosting Falling Walls Lab – as the only Swedish university. The competition gives students and researchers the opportunity to pitch an idea with the potential to help solve important societal challenges.

During Falling Walls Lab, participants present their ideas to a jury, which selects a winner. The winner receives travel and accommodation to attend the international Falling Walls Conference in Berlin in November, where finalists from around the world gather to present ideas that can contribute to scientific and societal breakthroughs.

A natural part of Chalmers’ profile as an entrepreneurial university

“I am really looking forward to hearing the ideas from our students and researchers. We have many driven and engaged individuals here at Chalmers, and Falling Walls Lab is a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase ideas that can make a real difference,” says Mats Lundqvist, Vice President for Utilisation, Innovation and Lifelong Learning at Chalmers.

He believes that the competition aligns well with Chalmers’ vision as an entrepreneurial university.

“Encouraging new ideas and giving people the opportunity to develop them is an important part of our profile and our work with innovation and societal impact.”

Falling Walls Lab is organized in several locations around the world. The winner from Chalmers advances to the international final in Berlin in November.
