BioFINE meeting

From 2 to 3 October 2025, the BioFINE consortium gathered in Gothenburg for a productive meeting hosted by Chalmers University of Technology.

Over two days, partners reviewed all work packages, aligned on timelines for the remaining activities, and strengthened dissemination and exploitation efforts - tracking scientific publications and planning future outreach.
Strategic discussions with Chalmers innovation and research advisors explored long-term continuation options. Funding opportunities such as Horizon Europe, Marie Curie Fellowships, and the EIC Booster Grant were considered, alongside the need to build new constellations for future initiatives.

About BioFINE:
Funded by the European Innovation Council under the HORIZON-EIC-2022-PATHFINDEROPEN program, BioFINE is on a mission to revolutionize the biocompatibility of intraneural electrodes for bionic limbs. This multi-dimensional chemical-engineering challenge aims to bridge the gap between electrodes and nerves - creating a long-term functional peripheral nerve interface that will transform lives.
The consortium plans to meet again in Freiburg for continued collaboration and knowledge exchange.
