SALSA-Onsala ("Such A Lovely Small Antenna") are 2.3 m diameter radio telescopes built at Onsala Space Observatory to introduce pupils, students and teachers to the marvels of radio astronomy. The sensitive receiver makes it possible to quickly detect the radio emission due to the spectral line of atomic hydrogen at a wavelength of 21 cm and to map the large-scale distribution of hydrogen in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
SALSA is part of the project Hands-On Universe, Europe (EU-HOU).
