Our mission is to deliver advanced bioinformatics and data science support to life science researchers. Serving as a regional node for the National Bioinformatics Infrastructure Sweden (NBIS) – which constitutes the SciLifeLab Bioinformatics platform – CSBI connects local researchers to a nationwide network of over 120 bioinformatics experts.
The infrastructure operates with two main aims:
Expert Support: We provide hands-on expert support in computational biology and bioinformatics for both local projects at Chalmers and nationally prioritized research projects.
Computational Frameworks: We establish and develop computational frameworks such as tools for the management and usage of genome-scale metabolic models. A key development from this framework is the Human Metabolic Atlas.
