IAU National Outreach Contact for Sweden

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) appoints a contact person in each country for outreach activities in astronomy. Since 2016, Robert Cumming has been the national outreach coordinator (NOC) for Sweden. Vice NOC for Sweden is Katja Lindblom, director of Slottsskogsobservatoriet, Gothenburg.

IAU centenary 2019

In 2019, the IAU celebrated its centenary. Under the slogan 100 years: Under the same sky, the anniversary was celebrated around the world with many activities aimed at the public.
