Thanks to collaborations between universities in the Nordic countries, graduate students at Chalmers can apply to PhD courses at five other universities.
PhD-courses at the University of Gothenburg
Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg have for many years developed cooperation within different fields. The objective is to benefit from each other and together create a dynamic breadth within the education and research fields. PhD-students at Chalmers can take courses at University of Gothenburg and by that get a unique and multi-disciplinary education. Doctoral students from Chalmers will be admitted as far as seats admit.

PhD-courses at a Nordic Five Tech university
Nordic Five Tech (N5T) is a strategic alliance of the five leading technical universities in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden: Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aalto University, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
The Nordic Five Tech alliance collaborates on PhD education to encourage the use of the cumulative research devices of the Nordic Five Tech universities and stimulate mobility for PhD students. The joint PhD course database enables PhD students at each Nordic Five Tech university to access courses at the other universities.
