Bachelor´s programmes in maritime studies
It is no coincidence that world-class maritime education is offered at Chalmers in Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. Gothenburg is the home to the largest port in the Nordic region, and many Swedish shipping companies have their headquarters here. Every year, around 300 new students begin their studies with us at Chalmers School of Maritime Studies. Our programmes maintain strong collaborations both internationally and nationally, and as a student you will be offered a uniquely broad education—whether you are training to become a Master Mariner, Marine Engineer, Deck Officer, or studying International Logistics in Sweden’s maritime capital.
All the bachelor’s programmes are conducted in Swedish, and therefore fluency in Swedish or another Scandinavian language is required. In order to study one of these programmes you must prove formal knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to the upper secondary course Swedish 3/Swedish level 3.

The programme will give you theoretical and practical knowledge in subjects such as project management, sustainable shipping, AI, quality, risk, and safety management. Chalmers University of Technology has a world-class reputation in the shipping industry, and you will be educated to the highest standards.

Mobility engineering, MSc
