When Chalmers opened the doors to the world of quantum technology on 17 April, visitors of all ages were invited to explore cutting-edge research up close. The event was part of this year’s Gothenburg Science Festival.

The afternoon featured lectures combined with guided laboratory tours, giving visitors the opportunity to ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of how quantum physics is applied in practice.

In the lab environments, concrete examples of ongoing research were presented, highlighting how quantum technology can contribute to future technological development and help address societal challenges.

Lectures

Introduction to Quantum Technology – Giulia Ferrini
The Nobel Prize in Physics: Links to Quantum Technology – Göran Johansson
Lasers and Laser Cooling (for Cold Atoms) – Alex Jernstedt
