On 15–16 June, the BioFINE consortium gathered in Freiburg, Germany, for a productive project meeting as the consortium prepares for the final phase of the project, culminating in September 2026.
Funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder programme and coordinated by Professor Maria Asplund at Chalmers University of Technology, BioFINE is advancing the development of next-generation neural interfaces for bionic limbs. During the two-day meeting, project partners reviewed the latest scientific and technological progress, discussed upcoming milestones and deliverables, and aligned activities for the project's final months. The discussions highlighted the strong interdisciplinary collaboration that has driven BioFINE's achievements and its potential to contribute to more reliable and durable neuroprosthetic solutions.
The consortium also welcomed valuable feedback from members of the External Advisory Board, whose expertise continues to support the project's strategic direction and impact.
