You may have already met them somewhere on campus – Chalmers career guidance counsellor Kajsa Bengtsson and entrepreneurship coach Joar Bergström.
During this year's job fair, CHARM, organised by the Student Union, they took the opportunity to inform you about how they can help you take the next step in your career.
At times, there was a long queue in front of the stand where students could discuss an idea, prototype or service and get advice on the next steps. They could also have their CV reviewed, get tips on how to write a really sharp cover letter or learn the best way to network with a future employer or financier.
‘The most common question I get here at CHARM is that the students want to have their CV reviewed, because it's almost time for many of them to start looking for jobs,’ says Kajsa Bengtsson.

She is experienced and can in just a few minutes review a CV and provide constructive feedback immediately. Kajsa has been working at Chalmers as a career counsellor for almost three years, focusing primarily on international master's students, and has noticed an increased interest in her services.
‘Yes, I'm busy with coaching guidance sessions, events and my lunch webinars (Career Guidance), which all students are welcome to log in to,’ Kajsa continues.
Chalmers alumnus and entrepreneurship coach
Joar Bergström, who studied at Chalmers himself, has been employed as an entrepreneurship coach since last autumn, helping students develop their ideas. This service is available to all students, regardless of which programme they are studying.
‘It could be anything from a prototype of some kind to a completely new service. Since I started as a coach at Chalmers, I have had over 50 individual coaching sessions with both Swedish and international students,’ says Joar Bergström.
He also organises various events and workshops where start-up companies and inspiring entrepreneurs are invited to talk about their experiences.

Joar says that many curious students have visited the stand who are unaware that there is an entrepreneurship coach at Chalmers.
‘I've noticed that there's a lot of interest in entrepreneurship among students, the problem is just reaching them. That's one of the reasons why I'm involved in CHARM, it's a perfect way to meet students,’ says Joar.
Joar and Kajsa agree that their participation in this year's CHARM fair has been very successful. Hopefully, even more students will find their way to them and take advantage of their services in the future. And if you missed out of this opportunity, you are very welcome to contact them!
