Regardless where you are from, you as a guest:
- are here to further your knowledge and may not work for Chalmers.
- will have access to systems and facilities connected to the purpose of your visit. If you need access to additional resources beyond what has been specified, please contact your host.
- will commit to following Chalmers’ guidelines and safety regulations.
- should have valid insurance coverage for the entire duration of your stay. If you do not have valid insurance during your visit to Chalmers, you must inform your host.
- are advised to have private travel and accident insurance and to bring your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). If you are from an EU country, you should also bring an SI form — this applies to any accompanying persons as well.
Are you a non-EU/EEA citizen?
Most visitors to Sweden require a visa. A visa is a permit necessary for entry and stay in Sweden for a maximum of three months. A visa must be obtained before entering Sweden. For more information on the application process and where to submit an application, visit Sweden Abroad
If your stay is longer than three months you need to apply for a residence permit at the Swedish Migration Agency. A copy of your residence permit must be sent to your host.
