William Chalmers Lecture 2022 - Robin Teigland

Let’s create a digital and green future – together!

In this talk, Robin Teigland discusses how digital technologies and their convergence with other technologies and other forces can lead to a variety of different futures – from utopian to dystopian. It is, therefore, up to each and every one of us to act and become opportunity makers by developing and leveraging our networks to create more sustainable, circular economy models. To exemplify this, Robin will take us on a journey through her research and entrepreneurial activities across Portugal, Norway, and Sweden to develop a blue circular economy* model for coastal communities across the globe.

*A blue circular economy model is a circular economy model with a specific focus on ocean resources and coastal communities in order to promote sustainable economic growth, improved livelihoods, and skill development while preserving the health of the ocean ecosystem.
