Meeting Point Small Stage – Chalmers Entrance

The Small Stage in the Chalmers Entrance will host a few short, shared moments throughout the day – from Chalmers’ history to the Chalmers of today and tomorrow.

The programme is mainly in Swedish. Some talks will be held in English; these are clearly indicated in the programme below.

12.00–12.10	Vera Sandberg – From Chalmers History to Film Bodil Tingsby, documentary filmmaker Vera Sandberg enrolled at Chalmers in 1914 and became Sweden’s first female engineer in 1917. Her story is now at the heart of a new documentary film. Bodil Tingsby talks about the making of the film, the ambitions behind the project and the first stages of filming.
12.45–12:50	Welcome Home to Chalmers (in English) Martin Nilsson Jacobi, President of Chalmers A short and personal welcome to our alumni, with reflections on Chalmers’ journey, its future and the challenges we need to address together.
15.55	The Chalmers Journey Continues Maria Elmquist, Deputy President of Chalmers We come together for a few closing words about the day’s encounters, Chalmers’ continuing journey and the important role of alumni in the future of Chalmers.

The finale then continues outdoors at Chalmersplatsen.
