Collaborating with industry and society is a key factor in the work that the Department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences does in the name of utilization. The collaboration often takes place in Chalmers' world-class laboratories and through competence centers where academia and industry can join forces when meeting certain societal challenges. Together we can make a real difference for a sustainable future.

Good opportunities for creative collaborations

We can contribute by making our research infrastructure available to your business, and creating competence centers and research networks to bring academia and industry together when facing challenges and research issues.

Our research covers all modes of transport and historically, together with our partners, we have achieved safer and more energy-efficient vehicles, aircraft, ships and rail traffic. We have also been able to help our partners with environmentally friendly process technology and sustainable energy supply.
