On the last Saturday of September, the campus was filled with smiling faces, joyful reunions and new encounters – all framed by sunshine, music and that unmistakably student spirit. It was a day when generations of Chalmers alumni came together to share memories, discover new technology, and celebrate the sense of community that unites us all.

One of the highlights was the inauguration of the new exhibition about Vera Sandberg, Sweden’s first female engineer, now open to visitors at Chalmers Konferens by the main entrance. Alumnus Bo Hedfors took us on a journey through Vera’s life and pioneering achievements. Alumni of the Year, Gustav Henman and Julia Ravanis, shared their reflections on the role of technology in society and spoke about the paths that led them to where they are today. Keynote speaker Gert Wingårdh concluded the talks with an inspiring reflection on architecture, creativity, and the influences that shaped his early years.

Outside the lecture halls, the atmosphere was alive with activity. The Chalmers Ballet, the Alliance Orchestra and Svea Skivgarde brought festive energy with dance, music and pyrotechnics. On Teknologgården, marshmallows were toasted over balloon flames, FestU kept the laughter going with a bouncy castle, and CASE Lab, Formula Student, the Revere truck, Science Safari and FysikLek invited both children and adults to explore the wonders of technology.

As day turned to evening, guests gathered in the Student Union building for a lively banquet filled with performances, songs and later dancing to the live band Spectrum. A fitting finale to a day that reminded us why Chalmers alumni always find their way back to one another.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part and helped make Alumni Day 2025 a day to remember!
