On 27 September, we open up campus for a day filled with memories, meaningful encounters and visions of the future. Alumni Day is a true Homecoming for all Chalmers alumni – a collective reunion where old friends reconnect, new networks form, and Chalmers sparkles with life.
Show your loved ones what Chalmers means to you – whether it’s a partner, a child, or a friend. The day will be packed with activities for all ages.
In the evening, we gather for a festive dinner in true student spirit. It’s a perfect opportunity to bring your classmates together for a reunion – to celebrate, reminisce, and look ahead.
Welcome home to Chalmers. Welcome to Alumni Day!

Talks that inspire and surprise
Throughout the day, we present a series of exciting talks that take you on journeys from history to visions of the future.
At 13:00, Bo Hedfors opens the stage with his fascinating story about Vera Sandberg – a Chalmers alumna and Sweden’s first female engineer – and her journey from Blekinge to Gothenburg and back.
Something we have been waiting for and looking forward to is the presentation by the Alumni of the Year 2024:

For a Better World award recipients Gustav Henman and Andreas Flodström, founders of Beetroot, share their journey and their work to make a difference.
Rising Star Julia Ravanis, recently featured as a Summer Radio Host, offers thoughts and experiences that will resonate.
Come and be inspired – you might just leave with new ideas, perspectives, and dreams!
Keynote Speaker Gert Wingårdh

Gert Wingårdh is one of Sweden’s most renowned architects and a proud alumnus of Chalmers. Since founding his own practice in 1977, he has made a strong mark both in Sweden and internationally.
Among his most famous works are Aula Medica in Stockholm, Universeum in Gothenburg, and the extension of Liljevalchs Art Gallery. On campus, his legacy is visible in the extension of the Chalmers Student Union building. Over the years, he has received several of the country’s most prestigious awards, including the Kasper Salin Prize, the Prince Eugen Medal, and the Gustaf Dalén Medal.
Many also recognize him from the popular TV program Husdrömmar (“House Dreams”), where since 2014 he has inspired a wide audience.
In his keynote, Gert will share his journey – from his student years at Chalmers to a groundbreaking career driven by creativity, curiosity, and passion.

The Evening’s Highlight – A Formal Banquet in True Chalmers Spirit
As the day turns into evening, we raise the atmosphere even further with a formal banquet in true student tradition – complete with comedy acts, music, and entertaining performances guaranteed to make you laugh and sing along.
We serve a delicious three-course dinner with a matching wine package, and afterwards the party continues with the afterparty in the Student Union building, where the live band Spektrum will get the dance floor going.
About the live band "Spektrum"
“Interested in music? Your "nollan" assignment is to learn and perform two songs at the Noll-dinner!” That’s how it all began in Electrical Engineering – class of ’98. The taste for rock grew stronger, and the band took shape with the help of CROC rock and their own rehearsal space. During their student years, the members were active in SVEA, Festu, E0K, and D6 – and both the friendship and the music have lived on ever since. With weekly rehearsals, they are now more in sync than ever and are looking forward to playing on home turf again!
All this – an entire evening of togetherness, celebration, and memories for life – for only 1000 SEK.
