The overall purpose of this course is to give the students opportunities to broaden and deepen their knowledge in industrial management and engineering and related fields of study, and give practical experience of business development.Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)
1. Relate and use industrial management and engineering to/in broadened and/or deepened knowledge areas and areas of studies.2. Identify, describe, and explain business development.

The course includes studies related to industrial management and engineering at University of California, Berkeley, and practice in business development.Organisation
The course comprises two elective modules that are examined separately, a case project focused on business development, and study visits at companies and organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.Literature

The modules are examined in accordance with the syllabi. In addition to passing the separate modules, it is required to attend compulsory activities (including study visits), provide an approved case report (in groups), and provide an approved reflection (individual).The course examiner may assess individual students in other ways than what is stated above if there are special reasons for doing so, for example if a student has a decision from Chalmers about disability study support.
