    Course specific prerequisites

    The course intend to be specialization in the area of computer science and engineering and therefore the student ought to be in the third year of his/her study programme. The course should be taken before the final thesis.

    Aim

    To provide the student an opportunity to individual or in group study something of relevance in the area of computer science and engineering outside of the regular syllabus.

    Learning outcomes (after completion of the course the student should be able to)

    - In form of a projects develop a small system consisting of hardware and or software according to an established development process and schedule. - Document the project work in the form of eg requirements specification, user manual and a project report.

    Organisation

    This may be an individual course or an applied project in an area where regular courses in computer science and engineering are lacking. Initiative may come from the student or from any faculty member willing to supervise the project.

    Examination including compulsory elements

    Written report.

    The course examiner may assess individual students in other ways than what is stated above if there are special reasons for doing so, for example if a student has a decision from Chalmers about disability study support.
