You will learn advanced methods for maximising energy efficiency in industrial processes, how to design for energy-intensive unit operations, and the integration of conversion processes based on biomass and waste feedstocks. Courses also cover computational fluid dynamics and multiphase flow, relevant to the complex flow systems found throughout industrial energy infrastructure. The specialisation is ideal if you are interested in the decarbonisation of heavy industry, which covers some of the hardest engineering problems in the energy transition.
