We identify, analyse and describe the major environmental challenges of our time, with the aim of developing models, tools and competitive technological solutions to support the transition in sectors such as energy, transport and heavy industry. Within a scientifically excellent environment, we develop new technologies, build knowledge and educate the engineers of the future who can contribute to a sustainable society in the long term.
A significant part of our research also takes a systems perspective, focusing on the interaction between technology, society and the environment in order to develop resilient solutions for the future.
